Genuine urushi is organic and needs to be fresh. To keep your urushi fresh, please store it in the freezer compartment of your refrigerator, as soon as you receive your package. After setting, my Urushi it becomes completely food safe, but please wait a further minimum of 1 month after drying before using with food.
