You need to top up on your kit time to time. Here is a few things I constantly receive requests. Although You might able to buy from your locals and online, these are the materials to get when runout or useful things to achieve better result.

Please read descriptions of how to use items below

Brass Powder
I also repeatedly receive the questions about food safe of brass. I don't know exactly, but first of all, it tastes terrible!!!!

Charcoal
If you sand urushi with charcoal with water before the final application of urushi,  the sanded surface of urushi will become much smoother.

Togusa
If you polish urushi which is applied on white or unglazed items, use Togusa instead of charcoal. Cut off a small piece, open and soak it in the water  before sand.

Small painting brushes
This is a useful disposable paint brush for very detail urushi application. Even though they are disposable brushes, last long if you clean them as same as your good brushes.
