About me

Nishikawa Iku, founder of Kintsugi Oxford, is originally from Kochi, Japan. She developed an interest in kintsugi while assisting Kyoto lacquerware craftsmen at workshops in Oxford. Although traditionally a specialized Japanese craft, she discovered that new materials make kintsugi more accessible globally. Through Kintsugi Oxford, she has conducted workshops in Japan, Italy, and the UK, and offers individual and group lessons at her Oxford studio, where she also performs kintsugi repairs for private clients.

Kintsugi is fun for everyone, whatever your skill.
